Collection Procedure

Scrap metal is collected at TOLMETS and partner collection sites strictly in accordance with the Republic of Latvia Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 960 "Order of Collecting and Implementing Ferrous and Non-ferrous Scrap Metal".

Physical entities delivering scrap metal must also show a personal identification document, such as a passport or a driver’s licence issued in the Republic of Latvia and we also ask that you have your personal bank account information on hand too. The purchase of scrap metal from physical entities at a collection site is processed with an acceptance-delivery statement and a statement on the origin of the scrap metal. These statements are signed by the client and the authorised representative of the scrap metal collection site.

Terms of Payment

The payment for delivered scrap metal is calculated by taking into account the weight of the scrap, its category and quality and the current purchasing prices in the respective period. Payment for delivered scrap is made in lats or euro in accordance with the Republic of Latvia Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 960; the amount to be paid is transferred into the client’s current account.
